We only use your information you provide to contact you to book in a call at your request. Emails are deleted within 1 month of receipt.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Information submitted to Abingdon PC Services through the use of our Service Request Form is sent directly to us in the form of an email using the website tools of our hosting provider, Free Virtual Servers. Their privacy policy can be found here: https://www.freevirtualservers.com/privacy-agreement We do not use your information for any form of marketing.
After your appointment, you will be sent an invoice/receipt using our invoicing tool, Invoice2Go. This will contain:
The data contained in the invoices is encrypted by Invoice2Go and secured by biometric authentication. The data will never be used for marketing purposes. Abingdon PC Services are required to retain invoices for a minimum of 5 years for tax purposes. We delete all invoices older than 6 years.
Invoice2Go also stores the aforementioned contact details in Abingdon PC Services' address book for use when creating the invoices. These will be deleted within 1 month of the invoice being created.
Data on computers and removable media
Abingdon PC Services may occasionally be required to relocate faulty computers to our workshop for further repairs. Whilst in transit and prior to returning the computer to you, Abingdon PC Services will store your computer in the boot of the company vehicle, which will remain locked at all times. The vehicle may be parked at a corporate car park during the day, which has CCTV cameras and security guards on patrol. The workshop will remain locked whilst not in use.
Personal data may be backed up to removable media by Abingdon PC Services at the customer’s request, for the purpose of ensuring it can be safely retrieved in case of an Operating System reinstallation or recovery. In case you do not have a removable storage device of adequate capacity, we will provide one for you on loan for the duration of the repairs. This data will never be transferred to any other computer, and the removable storage device used, will be safely stored away in our workshop. Once you have verified that all your data is secure, we will delete the backup copy within 1 month.
Data Loss
Abingdon PC Services take your personal data very seriously. In the event of loss or theft of any personally identifiable customer data, we are obligated to report the incident to the relevant supervisory authority with 72 hours of discovery.
Please note that whilst every care will be taken to ensure data on your hard drive or removable storage device is intact, Abingdon PC Services cannot be held responsible for any data loss which occurs on your computer during repairs. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their data is sufficiently backed up prior to scheduling the call with Abingdon PC Services.
